Jerry moved to LA to pursue a career in comedy. A native of New Orleans, LA Jerry has taken many of the experiences of his life in the co-creation of Life’s a Joke. Along with writing and acting Jerry is also a standup comedian who performs all over Los Angeles.

ALFONSO CABALLERO AS ROB
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Alfonso begin his pursuit to stardom studying at the Iris Kline studios, Scott Seditas and Joshua Lebar studio for acting. Alfonso made his move to LA and looks to bring his life experiences into his passion for acting. While currently getting his feet wet in improv classes, Alfonso works the stand up circuit at comedy clubs such as the Haha Comedy Club, Sycamore Tavern, The Federal Bar and various others. Alfonso can currently be seen in an assortment of national commercials, numerous Buzz Feed videos, and as one of the leads in the web series Life’s a Joke.
CHERISA PASCUAL AS CHARLOTTE
Cherise Pascual is super excited to be part of LIFE’S A JOKE. She’s a screenwriter, playwright, and actress based in Hollywood, born and bred in Carson, CA.. Pascual is the Founder and CEO of Pretty Pockmarks Films, LLC., has a Masters in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute Conservatory and is a member of the Los Angeles Female Playwrights’ Initiative. She recently wrote, produced and performed her one-woman show, HERPES: A LOVE STORY – which received Official Selection at Outdoor Voices 2017 and SoloFest 2017 (the largest solo festival on the West Coast), along with an Encore Producers’ Award at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2017. BORN IN BLOOD, a short Pascual wrote about the life of mobster turned minister, Michael Franzese is currently in development. Cherise’s thesis film JONESTOWN (2013) along with a short she penned entitled TEENS LIKE PHIL (2011) won various accolades on the festival circuit. She has a background in neuroscience and chemistry, but ditched med school to write. When Cherise isn’t busy writing or acting, she’s singing to her cat, Saint Patty – she’s has had some 13 odd years of vocal training (Cherise, not Saint Patty) under the instruction of Bradley Baker, but that won’t solve her pitch problems. She’s thankful Mike and Jerry took a chance on an unknown kid with basic skill levels in sex toys.
CAYLA BLACK AS DANI
Cayla was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She studied at multiple different improve and comedy classes such as Scott Sedita. With her naturally awkward charisma, most are surprised to find she has a background in martial arts, fight choreography and marksmanship. Cayla made her move to LA in 2013 and instantly begin to pursue her career as an actress. She’s since acted in a short film LOCKBOX accepted into the various film festivals and been in multiple plays. Cayla is currently producing and starring in a TV pilot.
SHARICK LAMAY AS NINA
Sharíck LaMay is a media specialist, producer, actress and the Founder of LaMay Day Productions, As a proud native of the highly liberal and eclectic East Bay Area, Sharíck was raised appreciating the arts and multiculturalism. As she participated in many dance and musical theater productions growing up It was evident a career in entertainment would be manifested in her future. After a successful undergraduate career in which Sharíck earned her bachelors degree with honors in Communications from CSU Los Angeles she immediately began building her portfolio in working for top tier media companies such as Clear Channels’ 106.1 KMEL, and Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) as a Marketing Rep, solidifying her as a professional in Entertainment PR and Marketing. Sharick has spent years nurturing relationships within the entertainment industry joining forces with like-minded and talented young people, professionals and creatives, via event production and creative directing as a means of expanding her network. Sharíck launched her own digital platform, LaMay Day Productions , a media outlet and production company that caters to the world’s beloved creatives. Adding to her empire as a host, actress and red carpet correspondent, Sharíck strives to create content that gives back and displays positive and innovative messaging.
GRADY JAMES WELCH AS ARYAN
Grady James Welch has performed with improv teams and in sketch shows at comedy clubs around Los Angeles including Second City Hollywood, iO West, and UCB. BRANDY ZAPATA AS KIMBERLY
Originally from Chillicothe, Ohio, Brandy Zapata has always had her eye on LA. She graduated from Wright State University, worked as an on-air host at the CW/ WDTN in Dayton, Ohio and since then has worked in LA on numerous commercials, short films, industrials and voice over. Brandy is a Coca-Cola addict, bookworm, and always carries a paper planner in her massive Coke purse.
JOHANA GOMEZ AS JOZY
Johana Gomez is a first generation LA native with a Salvadoran background. She has her degree in communications and a minor in advertising and has an array of jobs under her belt. 4 years ago, she stumbled into modeling through a magazine contest sponsored by Maxim and has been modeling full time ever since. She has appeared in music videos and small roles in some commercials but hasn’t fully tried out the acting chops, until now!
CHINEDU UNAKA AS TYLER
Chinedu got his start in entertainment in his hometown of Los Angeles as a Stand Up comedian, while he was working as a Special Education Teacher for lower income middle school and high school students. Currently Chinedu can be seen on HBO starring in a short film The Big Chop alongside Simone Missick (Misty Knight, Luke Cage) and on the new season of Coming to the Stage (HULU). He was featured on the The Mindy Project (FOX) and has toured overseas performing for the US Troops, a comedy tour of India, as well as independently touring universities nationwide annually through his “Study Break” College Comedy Tour and featuring for Damon Wayans Jr. on the road. He’s a regular performer at all the major LA comedy clubs: The Hollywood Improv, The Laugh Factory, The Comedy and Magic Club, The Westside Comedy Theatre and headlines other clubs around the United States. Chinedu was also a top ten finalist in NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity competition, was featured on NUVO’s TV Stand Up and Deliver, FOX’s LaughsTV, Kevin Hart’s LOL Network and HULU’s Coming to the Stage. Chinedu’s name can also be seen on the credits as a writer for a comedy project that was aired for SHOWTIME and has performed for multiple comedy festivals including – Just for Laughs (Montreal), Laughing Skull (Atlanta), Bridgetown (Portland), etc. Chinedu Unaka

Mike Peters is a screenwriter, producer, director and the co-creator of LIFE’S A JOKE. He studied under Screenwriter Robert Engels (TWIN PEAKS) at Cal State Fullerton. Mike started his screenwriting career by selling a screenplay fresh out of college named KILLING AL DAVIS to Sweeting Independent Films. Mike has since been a finalist in various screenplay competitions including Screen craft’s Comedy Screenplay Contest and Story Pros International Screenplay Contest.
